In this class, we collaborated in a group in order to research a topic of interest that had nursing implications for practice. With the seemingly never-ending pandemic and increasing nursing shortages, nurses continue to feel the pressure day in and day out at work. Our group decided to dive deeper into the most recent literature to identify the impact nursing staffing has on rates of burnout within the hospital setting. Our synthesis of the studies conducted, showed that there are multiple factors that contribute to nursing burnout, including staffing.
