I recently relocated from SoCal to pursue a career in Nursing and am excited to embark on this journey and continue to advance in my healthcare career.
I am a STEM lover and first started off as a Bioengineer at my first alma mater, UC San Diego. Years later my love for medicine outgrew my “passion” for physics and math which led me to change my major to Physiology & Neuroscience and eventually acquired my first B.S in this field.
Along with tutoring and mentoring HS students, I served the city of San Diego as an EMT-B for five years. I migrated from the prehospital field to the emergency department over a year ago where I worked as an Emergency Trauma Technician at UCSD Thornton hospital and is also where I found my motivation to pursue nursing as a career. I now am part of the Pandemic Response team in Portland, Maine where we try to mitigate with the growing cases of COVID-19.
More than having an impact in the medical field I aspire to achieve health and social equity in my community through patient care and innovation, particularly in the emergency department.
